Canadians should not have to spend hours trying to reach the CRA or wait months for basic requests to be processed.
When taxpayers miss a deadline, they can face interest and penalties. But when the CRA causes the delay, Canadians are still too often left paying the price.
That is not fair.

To the Liberal government:
Canadians deserve timely, competent and accountable service from the Canada Revenue Agency.
We call on the government to:
- Establish and publish clear service standards for CRA calls and processing.
- Report publicly on whether those standards are being met.
- Ensure taxpayers can reach a qualified CRA employee when their problem cannot be resolved online.
- Protect taxpayers from penalties and interest caused by CRA delays or mistakes.
- Resolve disputes before taking unnecessary collection action.
It is time to end the CRA runaround and give Canadians the service they pay for.
